Buford Elementary will be holding a science fair for students in grades 3-5. One winner will be selected in each grade level to be our representation in the Lancaster County School District Science Fair which will be held on February 28-March 2, 2018. My Energy Kit.org helps to save money and energy

So far, Buford Elementary School has requested 65 Energy Kits and has saved 13,000 kWh of energy.
Remember, when we reach 100 kit requests, we win $250!  If all of our BES families request a FREE kit, we will win $250!  Also, the school that has requested the most kits by December 31, 2017, will win the first grand prize of $2,500.

Reading For Education fundraiser

We are excited to announce that our school is participating in the Reading For Education program. Your student is bringing home an envelope on Thursday with the words “Attention Parents” across the top. Please take 10 minutes to complete the materials in the envelope and return them to school.  That is all you have to do for your student to earn a prize and our school to earn money. 

STEM club at the Lancaster County Library

 Lancaster County Library and Clemson are proud to present a STEM Club for grades 4th-12th!  The Lancaster county Youth Services Coordinator will be working closely with Steve Hucks from 4H/Clemson with this new club they are starting. The STEM club will meet at the Lancaster County Library on Wednesday from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm in the meeting room. The club will meet on the following Wednesdays:

December 6, 2017
January 20, 2018
February 24, 2018
March 14, 2018
April 11, 2018
